Superlativo de Superioridade:
- Ø Adjetivos curtos: .....THE ADJETIVO + est.....
Ex. To be a teacher is the
highest privilege.
(Se um professor é o mais
alto/maior privilégio.)
He is the tallest in the classroom.
(Ele é o mais alto da sala de
aula.)
English is the easiest language
to learn.
(Inglês é o idioma mais fácil
para aprender.)
*Se o adjetivo já terminar em E, acrescenta apenas ST
Ex. She is the nicest teacher.
(Ela é a professora mais
legal.)
*Se o adjetivo terminar em CVC (consoante, vogal, consoante), repete a
última letra + est.
Ex. January is the hottest month of yhe
year.
(Janeiro é o mês mais quente
do ano.)
São Paulo is the biggest city in Brazil.
(São Paulo é a maior cidade
no Brasil.)
*Os adjetivos GOOD e BAD mudam totalmente, passando para The BEST
e The WORST.
Ex. To have a teacher is the best privilege.
(Ter um professor é o melhor
privilégio.)
Corruption is the worst problem in
Brazil.
(Corrupção é o pior problema
no Brasil.)
- Ø Adjetivos longos:.....THE MOST ADJETIVO .... (....O MAIS .....)
Ex. Rio is the most
beautiful city in Brazil.
(Rio é a cidade mais bonita no
Brasil.)
It is the most interesting book I’ve read.
(É o livro mais interessante
que eu já li.)
OBS: A dúvida é saber quando o adjetivo é curto ou longo!
# Dica: Curto é quando você abre a boca
apenas uma vez para pronunciar a palavra. Ex: young, smart, happy, funny,
simple.
# Dica: Longo é quando você abre a boca mais
de uma vez para pronunciar a palavra. Ex: Famous (fa_mous), modern (mo_dern),
nervous (ner_vous), practical (pra_ctical)
Superlativo de Inferioridade:
- Ø .......The least ADJETIVO .... ( o menos .... )
Ex. Bob is the
least smart boy in my classroom.
(Bob é o garoto menos esperto
em minha sala de aula.
This is the least organized school I’ve studied.
(Esta é a escola menos
organizada que eu já estudei.)
